Stats and Measurments: Paper booklet. 7" x 6" and consisting of approx 15 pages.

Condition: Good read condition. There are no tears and no handwritting in the booklet. I found this and some others in an old cookbook from 1939. Which is probably why it is in such good condition, there are no stains and it is fully secure in the staples. By the looks of it I would guess it has not been out of the book since it was put there.
I wish my scanner would have done better on the photographs, as they do not do this book justice.
A great collectors item for anyone who likes old sheet music, old advertising, or old medical remadies.
This would also make a nice gift for a collector.

1954 Menu
and
Placemat
for
UNION OYSTER HOUSE

On the front of the menu it has the following:
MENU
1826 UNION OYSTER HOUSE 1954
Boston Massachusetts
The original Historical Oyster House established in 1826 - one of the three famous Union Oyster House Restaurants in Boston.
The place mat also has the name of the restaurant and its location 41 Union Street and the location of the other two branches.
Just for an example of what prices were in 1954, you could get a complete Sirloin Steak dinner for $3.95, a complete Lobster dinner for $3.35 or a Broiled Live Lobster with Patatoes for $1.75. There is much more, but to many to list. I just wanted to give you a sampling of what the menu contains.
Measurment: The menu measures 12" x 9" closed and 24" x 9" open faced. The placemat measures 14" x 9 1/4". I am sorry but I could not get the whole placemat on the scanner. Hopefully the picture below will be enough to give you an idea of what it looks like.
Condition: Good. There are no tears and no handwritting on the menu or the placemat. The menu does have some creases, the menu has one down the middle where it is folded. There are no stains on the menu or the placemat.
I think this would be nice for someone with memories of this restaurant or for a collector.
